Minimize the Touches / Keep Yourself Sane

Every time you go out into the world assess the number of touches, contacts, and interactions that you’re about to initiate in order to accomplish whatever your goal is.  Is the risk to yourself, your family, and your community worth it? Plan out your trips to keep the number of trips to a minimum and the number of contacts to a minimum. Keep in mind the human linear versus exponential bias and be conservative.

A bike or run around the city where you’re keeping your distance is a different outing, than going shopping for necessities with lots of precautions like gloves, which is a different outing than sharing the same car with a group of friends to travel somewhere together, which is a different outing from getting luxuries with minimal interaction, which is a different outing than sitting down close to someone and socializing, which is a different outing to hanging out in a bigger group.  Keep in mind the human linear versus exponential bias and be conservative.

We are social creatures that need to move.  We need interaction and we need exercise. Figure out how to keep yourself sane with a minimum number of touches.  Do what you need to do, just keep in mind the human linear versus exponential bias and be conservative.
